Career Experience
I have a strong academic background in Planning and civil engineering. I did my BachelorĂ¢??s Degree in civil engineering from an Internationally accredited university of India. During my academic life I have had regular exposure to hand on work experience through industrial trainings and internships. As a part of my BachelorĂ¢??s Degree, I have completed one 4-Weeks survey training and a 6-month internship (Industrial & software). I did my first half of industrial training as a trainee under a project engineer at L&T Power plant, and worked on site at construction of water treatment plant in thermal power plant. And for the second half I worked as a structural engineering intern under an experienced structural engineer and excelled in STAAD Pro (Structural Analysis and Design Software). Further I had academic exposure to variety of civil engineering fields such as Structural, transportation, Surveying, Construction management Hydrology & Dams, Geotech and various civil related software. At present, I am pursuing Post Degree Diploma in Applied Planning at Langara college. This program mainly focuses on planning laws and processes. As a part of this program I excelled in Community and Land use planning, Land development and Sub-Division Layouts using AutoCAD, GIS and SketchUP software and, learned about municipal frameworks and BC planning Laws.
Why I Became A Technology Professional
- I have always enjoyed the physical building of structures with my Dad (journeyman carpenter) and wanted a career where I could do both design and construct. Now after 20+ years in Civil design and construction, I have been apart of teams and projects that are truly incredible.

Professional & Community Activities
- Registered as Civil EIT with APEGBC in December 2015. Registered as student member with ASTTBC in Ferbruary 2016. And also volunteering with SPEATBC (Society of Punjabi Engineers and Technologists of BC), as a student activity director, for promoting engineering field among youths and spreading awareness about engineering & technician regulatory bodies among new immigrants.
