Career Experience

I have a strong academic background in Planning and civil engineering. I did my BachelorĂ¢??s Degree in civil engineering from an Internationally accredited university of India. During my academic life I have had regular exposure to hand on work experience through industrial trainings and internships. As a part of my BachelorĂ¢??s Degree, I have completed one 4-Weeks survey training and a 6-month internship (Industrial & software). I did my first half of industrial training as a trainee under a project engineer at L&T Power plant, and worked on site at construction of water treatment plant in thermal power plant. And for the second half I worked as a structural engineering intern under an experienced structural engineer and excelled in STAAD Pro (Structural Analysis and Design Software). Further I had academic exposure to variety of civil engineering fields such as Structural, transportation, Surveying, Construction management Hydrology & Dams, Geotech and various civil related software. At present, I am pursuing Post Degree Diploma in Applied Planning at Langara college. This program mainly focuses on planning laws and processes. As a part of this program I excelled in Community and Land use planning, Land development and Sub-Division Layouts using AutoCAD, GIS and SketchUP software and, learned about municipal frameworks and BC planning Laws.

Why I Became A Technology Professional

  • I have always enjoyed the physical building of structures with my Dad (journeyman carpenter) and wanted a career where I could do both design and construct. Now after 20+ years in Civil design and construction, I have been apart of teams and projects that are truly incredible.
