Career Experience

After graduating from BCIT in Biomedical Engineering, I started my career at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Then I worked for Wise Technologies traveling throughout BC and supporting biomedical equipment in Western Canada. I returned to Fraser Health for 3 years providing clinical equipment service throughout the region and haemodialysis service at Surrey Memorial Hospital. I have now served Northern Health for 17 years. I started in haemodialysis and clinical service then progressed to supervising clinical engineering and diagnostic imaging service. I have participated in several provincial initiatives and am now content supporting Northern Health as a Senior Technologist in the Diagnostic Imaging field.

Why I Became A Technology Professional

  • Playing with basic programming and electronic projects as a teenager and a desire to help people with a career in the medical field steered me towards a career in Biomedical Engineering. I became certain of my choice after attending an open house at BCIT.
