Career Experience

Worked 20 years developing transportation technical skills and project management delivery methods before promotion into management. I assumed leadership of Transportation and Drainage function in 1999, completing many bridge, road and interchange projects as well as the operation of a great little transit system. More recently I have been promoted to Deputy Director of Engineering where I have an opportunity to learn more about our water, sewer and environmental systems and service programs.

Why I Became A Technology Professional

  • Since childhood I have enjoyed a lifelong passion for building things, all manner of things. When I finished high school I looked for education opportunities that would foster the application of engineering principles in the field. BCIT, at the time appeared the perfect fit, offering a short intense period of academic and practical education tailored to the needs of employers.
