Robert Switzer, AScT
I am fortunate to have been part of many significant projects working in diverse areas of Western Canada. I started off in the Kootenays where I developed my preference for fieldwork, followed by an opportunity to work in the GNWT with the Department of Transportation in Yellowknife on design and construction of highways and community infrastructure upgrades throughout the MacKenzie Valley.
My last 25 years have been with McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd in design and construction, where I have been part of many noteworthy projects such as Cassiar Connector Tunnel, Sea to Sky Highway and Port Mann Highway 1.
Why I Became A Technology Professional
- I grew up living and breathing technology. My father was a “tech without borders”. His expertise in technology was an asset to the community and an inspiration to me. He called on me to assist him and to learn. I have come by this career honestly.
