Career Experience

My Technology career started in June 2003 when I was employed by Motherwell Engineering. One of the projects that we worked on was a new water supply line for Quatsino Native Reserve near Port McNeil. I was then employed by Focus as a drafter, responsible for producing as-built dwgs, and some preliminary sanitary designs for the City of Langford. I then was employed by Pye Construction as an estimator. My current position is as an Engineering Technologist for the Township of Esquimalt.

Why I Became A Technology Professional

  • I wanted a career where I could have a positive impact on people and the community. I enjoy working with people and problem solving; Civil Engineering seemed like a good choice.

Career Highlights

  • Motherwell Engineering - My first job as a Technologist
  • Focus - Sewer designs for West Shore Environmental Services
  • Pye Construction - Estimating construction costs for projects we were subsequently awarded
  • Township of Esquimalt - Need I say more?

Professional & Community Activities

  • Attend conferences, professional development seminars etc.
I volunteer in the community when time allows (24 hour relay, jazz fest, etc.)
