Career Experience
Initially began career in 1996 in forestry technology with a diploma from BCIT. After several years, went back to school and became a certified Civil Technician with a diploma from the College of New Caledonia in 2005. Joined the City of Prince George in 2006 in the Utilities engineering area, managing capital projects, water network modeling, and water/wastewater design. This is also where the asset management journey began. After 9 years working up the ranks to Utilities Division Manager, became the City's Asset Manager in 2015 and is responsible for the City's long-term asset management strategy and supporting the operating areas with their capital planning and maintenance activities related to the infrastructure the City owns.
Why I Became A Technology Professional
- Math and science have always been my stong suit, paired with my desire to be a part of a community by working for local government, lead me to the civil engineering technology field.
