Career Experience

I started work with a land developer in New Zealand where I gained experience in surveying and design of subdivision developments. I moved to Canada in 1992 and worked for a consulting company in Yellowknife working on site servicing, road and subdivision projects. I moved to Smithers, BC in 1997 to work for Opus DaytonKnight Consultants. I started as a Civil Technologist and have progressed up to be Project Manager for projects in the Smithers area and Branch Manager of the office.

Why I Became A Technology Professional

  • I grew up wanting to be involved in construction of earthworks projects. Becoming a civil engineering technologist offered a career designing civil construction projects with on-site involvement in the projects to see the plans being implemented.
