Ian Emery, AScT
I started my career as a timber cruiser and then worked my way into the forest engineering side of the business. I enjoy forest engineering as the work is so variable in that one day you will be in the office working on paper work and the next you are out supervising the construction of a logging bridge or working with a Geoscientist conducting terrain stability assessments.
Why I Became A Technology Professional
- After highschool I started out in logging but soon realized that I wanted to know more about how forestry was managed. My time as a logger served me well as I learned what work ethic and pulling your weight really meant.
