Henry H. Murphy, AScT
I first worked for Northside Industries in Kelowna as an estimator for 3 years. I was offered and accepted many other positions with this company as Engineering Manager, Quailty Manager and lastly as Production Manager of a 200+ work force, producing components for class 8 truck companies. When they moved the company to Mexico I secured a position as Lab Techician for the Civil Program at Okanagan College. I also teach in the Machanical Technology program.
Why I Became A Technology Professional
- After a 9 year career in the Military and a 3 year career as a high pressure welder in the Alberta oil fields, I had the opportunity to return to school to follow my passion in Engineering Technology.

- Worked with ASTTBC in the TechWorks program. Local representative for ASTTBC in Kelowna. Senior member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). Lean Manufacturing certified coach. Dale Carnegie - Human Relations Training, triple award winner. Local Community Representative for ASTTBC.
