Career Experience

I have a strong operations management background and knowledge of the processes, policies and procedures of various organizations, from pulp & paper, to oil & gas, to waste water management. . During my time in industry, I have held predominantly leadership roles, which have helped to develop and grow my experiences into a diverse skill set.

Why I Became A Technology Professional

  • I became a Technology Professional after reading a job ad requiring AScT designation, then learning about what an AScT is and does, along with the benefits of being a member of ASTTBC.

Career Highlights

  • Currently involved with building, developing, and leading a team of Power Engineers in the safe and successful commissioning and start-up of the Utilities Plant systems as part of a 15 billion dollar
  • Being appointed to the role of Chief Power Engineer at two different industrial facilities.
  • Receiving my First Class Power Engineering Certification.
  • Having the opportunity to meet and work with numerous outstanding people throughout my career.
  • Having the opportunity to contribute and be part of the construction, commissioning, and start up of two successful Cogeneration projects.

Professional & Community Activities

  • My main hobby is running. I have been involved with the running community for six years by volunteering my time as a coach for marathon and ultra-marathon training groups. Another passion of mine is helping to feed those in need; I do so by being a regular contributor and volunteer for the Kamloops Food Bank.
