Career Experience

Upon graduation, worked for Skeans Engineering for 3 years in an inside technical sales role. Skeans is a supplier of compressed air products and has been established in Vancouver for almost 40 years. In 1992, I joined NORPAC Controls, the Emerson Process Control rep for BC. My role is in the Outside Sales team, focussing on assisting customers with understanding and utilizing the capabilities of Emerson's digital valve controllers. Software installation,training, and diagnostics are key duties

Why I Became A Technology Professional

  • I enjoy the interaction and keeping up to date on what else is happening in the different technologies aside from my own work. It is important to belong to an organization like ASTTBC as they work for the interests of all technologists.

Career Highlights

  • developing my current role from the ground up, as it was a newly established role
