As a Biomedical Engineering Technologist I worked at Vancouver General Hospital from 1991-1999, supporting mainly Operating Room medical equipment.
Later, I moved to Cranbrook and began the challenge of a small hospital, learning all aspects of a Biomed Eng department covering a wide variety of hospital equipment. In 2009 I completed a Bachelor Degree in Technology Management at BCIT. Now I am an Interior Health Quality & Risk Consultant for clinical equipment.
Why I Became A Technology Professional
- I first became interested in electrical/electronics because my open-minded grandfather patiently taught me some basics at home. After failing Home Economics in High School, I switched to electronics with help from the program's encouraging teacher.
