Career Experience

Basic routine testing & inspection of all construction materials through out BC in the 60s & 70s with AMEC & Levelton.
In the early 80s with Conforce as responsible for QA of various PC concrete elements for buildings & bridges throughout BC.
In the 80s & 90s more detailed & specialty testing, and research, some led to published Technical Papers.
In the 90s to present, continued Specialty Testing, Lab & Project Management including staff training. Also instructor Civil Faculty at BCIT.

Why I Became A Technology Professional

  • While still in high school I worked for my Civil Engineer father in the Construction Materials testing & inspection field. This business continues to be challenging & intriguing with the "materials" behaviors and varying predictabilities.
