Career Experience

I am actively involved as a field service technician testing and commissioning Industrial Power Systems throughout BC and Alberta, which I have been doing since 1999. In addition, I am a fulltime electrical Instructor with Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) where I have been since 2009. Prior to that, I was a full time electrical Instructor with BCIT from 2003 to 2008. I hold an M.Ed, in Leadership from Simon Fraser University (2016) and am also an active member of IESBC as a certified Lighting Consultant (LC). I am very interested in alternate energy and net zero energy buildings, and hope to help develop new programs through Industry/KPU partnerships.

Why I Became A Technology Professional

  • It is great belonging to a high profile group of like-minded professionals. Through organizations like Skills Canada and ASTTBC, the status of trades and technologies are finally being elevated to more serious levels, and the advocacy efforts of ASTTBC go a long way to ensuring our voices are heard in both industry and Government.
