Career Experience

In 1993, we moved to Prince George, I gained employment with L&M Engineering, a civil engineering firm. I worked on municipal, residential, industrial, commercial and recreational projects for numerous northern communities.
In 2006, I joined the City of Prince George as an engineering assistant and now hold the position of Supervisor in the Engineering.

Why I Became A Technology Professional

  • I grew up in the East Kootenays, BC. After high school I pursued passion to further my education expanding upon the (hand) drafting skill, and graduated from BCIT in 1985 with an Economics Major in Building Technology.

Career Highlights

  • Design Build of a Village in Siberia for 400 people.
  • Legislative Assembly Building in Yellowknife. Assisted the architects and worked on the Civil Design
  • Design of 1000+ residential lots in Prince George
  • Assistant Project Manager on large commercial developments in Prince George
  • Project Manager of the Cameron St. Bridge and the PG Pulpmill Road Bridge, Prince George

  • ASTTBC Council Member -May 2014
    Committee member of the BCWiT group promoting careers in technological fields for women.
    Past Director of the Northern Technology and Engineering Society. This society promotes and supporting the education of technologists, technicians and engineers in northern BC.
